Service Information & Important Disclosures

Service Information & Disclosures

This page explains how Lemot’s sourcing and supply chain services are generally presented, including important conditions relating to fees, supplier recommendations, product development, inspection, logistics, trade credit and after-sales support. Project-specific written terms always take priority.

01

Purpose and Document Priority

This page provides general explanations about Lemot’s services and the commercial statements used on lemotsourcing.com. It is intended to improve transparency and prevent general website information from being read as an unconditional promise.

A service is governed by the quotation, service scope, purchase order, order confirmation, service agreement or other written terms accepted for that project.

Project-specific written terms take priority. If this page or another website page conflicts with an accepted project document, the accepted project document governs that project.

02

Lemot’s Role in a Project

Lemot provides sourcing and supply chain coordination services. Depending on the agreed scope, this may include supplier sourcing, factory review, quotation alignment, sampling, product development, order management, production follow-up, quality inspection coordination, logistics coordination, trade credit support and after-sales assistance.

Lemot’s exact role is defined in the applicable written scope. Unless the project documents state otherwise, factories, inspection providers, laboratories, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and other external providers remain independent parties responsible for their own work.

03

Transparent Service Fee

Unless a project quotation states otherwise, Lemot’s standard managed-sourcing service fee is 5% of the confirmed order value.

The service fee is intended to be shown separately from the supplier’s product quotation so that the buyer can distinguish supplier pricing from Lemot’s service charge before approving the order.

The applicable order value, currency, payment schedule, included services, taxes and any project-specific charges are confirmed in the relevant quotation or agreement. A website statement does not replace that confirmation.

04

Potential 10–25% Cost Advantage

10–25%
Potentially lower total purchasing cost Compared with a traditional trading-company model that may include an undisclosed resale margin.

The 10–25% figure refers to a potential reduction in total purchasing cost for a comparable order when a visible supplier quotation and separately itemised Lemot service fee replace a traditional embedded-margin structure.

This is an estimate, not a guaranteed saving. Actual results depend on the product, specification, quantity, materials, supplier terms, exchange rates, logistics, duties, project scope and the comparison method used.

The 10–25% figure is not an additional Lemot fee, rebate or payment owed to the buyer.

05

Service Scope and Separately Quoted Work

Not every project requires every Lemot service. The quotation or service scope identifies what is included, excluded or separately charged.

Separately quoted work may include:

  • product development and design refinement;
  • additional prototypes, samples or revision rounds;
  • stand-alone factory audits or inspections;
  • laboratory testing, certification or specialist technical review;
  • special packaging engineering or compliance documentation;
  • re-inspection, sorting, rework supervision or additional site visits;
  • project-specific travel, courier or sample costs; and
  • other work outside the confirmed managed-sourcing scope.

Separately quoted work should be approved before it begins.

06

Supplier Resources and Recommendations

References to a supplier network or more than 200 qualified supplier resources describe Lemot’s accumulated sourcing resources and screening capability. They do not mean that every supplier is suitable, available, approved or willing to accept every project.

A supplier shortlist is developed against the actual project brief, including product type, specifications, quantity, quality requirements, commercial target, delivery conditions and required services.

Supplier profiles, factory visits, document reviews and previous experience can reduce uncertainty but cannot eliminate all risks. Capacity, ownership, management, subcontracting, compliance, financial condition and production performance may change over time.

The buyer makes the final supplier decision unless written project terms expressly provide otherwise.

07

Product Development

Product development is a separately quoted service. It may include design refinement, material and construction decisions, technical documentation, prototyping, sampling and agreed revision rounds.

Before development begins, the quotation or development brief should confirm the intended output, responsibilities, number of revisions, estimated timeline, sample costs, ownership or permitted use of project materials, and the applicable fee.

Development work does not guarantee that a product will achieve a target price, pass every test, obtain certification, be free from third-party intellectual property claims or proceed to mass production. These matters depend on the approved design, testing requirements, supplier capability, commercial decisions and applicable project terms.

08

Quality Inspection and Reporting

Where pre-shipment inspection coverage is stated as 100%, this means that a pre-shipment inspection process or report is arranged for fully managed orders before shipment approval, subject to the confirmed service scope. It does not mean that every individual unit is inspected or that every possible defect will be identified.

Unless otherwise agreed, inspection is based on approved specifications, samples, checklists and an agreed sampling or inspection method. Inspection can identify visible or testable findings within its scope, but it cannot guarantee:

  • zero defects across an entire production batch;
  • detection of hidden, intermittent or future defects;
  • laboratory performance, certification or regulatory compliance unless specifically tested;
  • that inspected goods will remain unchanged after inspection; or
  • that a supplier will complete every requested corrective action.

Inspection findings and recommended actions are provided to support the buyer’s decision. The buyer decides whether to approve, hold, re-inspect, reject or release the shipment, unless different authority is expressly agreed in writing.

09

Order Management and Buyer Approvals

A Lemot project manager may coordinate confirmations, deposits or payment milestones, production schedules, samples, inspection information, logistics documents and issues requiring a decision.

Unless written terms state otherwise, the buyer retains final approval over:

  • the selected supplier;
  • product specifications and samples;
  • pricing, payment and order terms;
  • changes, concessions and corrective actions;
  • inspection disposition and re-inspection; and
  • shipment release.

Delays in buyer instructions or approvals may affect the production or delivery schedule and may create additional supplier or logistics costs.

10

Logistics Coordination

Lemot may coordinate delivery under FOB, CIF or DDP terms where available and agreed. The selected Incoterm, named place, responsibilities, documents, insurance, customs arrangements and cost inclusions must be confirmed in the applicable logistics quotation or order documents.

Logistics charges may include third-party freight, local transport, documentation, terminal, customs, insurance, storage, duty, tax, inspection, demurrage or other charges depending on the selected route and terms. Costs described as transparent or itemised remain subject to carrier quotations, customs decisions, exchange rates, shipment dimensions, actual weight and events occurring during transport.

Estimated transit and delivery dates are not guaranteed. Weather, congestion, customs, inspections, carrier schedules, force majeure and other events outside reasonable control may cause delays or additional cost.

11

Trade Credit Support

Eligible long-term clients may apply for 30, 60 or 90-day trade credit terms. Trade credit is not automatically available and is not guaranteed by website statements or previous orders.

Eligibility may depend on factors including:

  • successful order and payment history;
  • expected order volume and continuity;
  • business and credit assessment;
  • requested credit amount and term;
  • transaction structure and risk;
  • availability of the credit programme; and
  • final written approval.

Approved limits, payment dates, late-payment consequences, suspension rights and other conditions are stated in the applicable credit approval or contract. Lemot may decline, change, suspend or withdraw credit where permitted by those terms and applicable law.

12

After-Sales Assistance

Where included in the agreed scope, Lemot may assist after shipment by collecting evidence, clarifying the reported issue, communicating with relevant suppliers or service providers, supporting negotiation, coordinating corrective proposals and assisting with a claim.

After-sales assistance does not mean that Lemot guarantees:

  • that a supplier, carrier or other party accepts responsibility;
  • that a requested refund, replacement, repair or compensation is approved;
  • that evidence is sufficient to establish liability;
  • that a dispute is resolved within a particular period; or
  • a particular legal, commercial or financial outcome.

Outcomes depend on the evidence, approved specifications, inspection records, order and shipping terms, timing of notice, preservation of goods, response of relevant parties and the buyer’s decisions.

13

Third Parties, Availability and Changing Conditions

Factories, laboratories, inspection companies, logistics providers, carriers, customs brokers, insurers, banks and other external providers may be involved in a project. Their availability, performance, pricing, schedules and decisions are not fully controlled by Lemot.

Quotations, material prices, exchange rates, supplier capacity, freight costs, duties, taxes, regulations and lead times may change. Unless a quotation states otherwise, information remains subject to confirmation until the applicable order or service is accepted.

Lemot will provide coordination and information within the agreed scope, but no website statement should be interpreted as eliminating commercial, manufacturing, quality, logistics, regulatory or third-party risk.
