Logistics Coordination
Coordinate furniture shipments from China under FOB, CIF or DDP terms with documented handovers and a transparent breakdown of logistics costs.
Choose the Delivery Term. See the Logistics Costs Clearly.
Lemot coordinates shipping documents, factory pickup, export handover and delivery arrangements under the selected FOB, CIF or DDP terms, with the related logistics charges presented for confirmation before execution.
Packing information, cargo readiness, loading arrangements and shipping handover are checked against the agreed plan.
Coordination through the agreed export and port-of-shipment handover.
Main carriage and insurance coordinated to the named destination port.
Destination delivery coordinated to the named place where the route is feasible.
Available freight, local charges and project-specific logistics costs are shown as identifiable items rather than hidden inside the product price.
Route availability, transit time, duties, taxes and final charges depend on the destination, cargo, carrier conditions and confirmed quotation.
Three Terms. Three Different Responsibility Boundaries.
The selected Incoterms® rule determines where delivery and risk transfer, who arranges the main transport and insurance, and who handles destination import formalities and duties.
Free On Board
-
Delivery & Risk
Transfers when the goods are on board the buyer-nominated vessel at the named port of shipment.
-
Main Freight & Insurance
Arranged by the buyer from the named port of shipment.
-
Import Clearance & Duties
Handled and paid by the buyer.
-
Suitable When
The buyer controls the ocean freight and destination arrangements.
Sea or inland waterway only. For container cargo handed to a carrier before loading on board, FCA may be more appropriate and should be reviewed.
Cost, Insurance & Freight
-
Delivery & Risk
Risk transfers when the goods are on board at the port of shipment—not when they reach destination.
-
Main Freight & Insurance
Seller contracts freight and the required insurance cover to the named destination port.
-
Import Clearance & Duties
Handled and paid by the buyer.
-
Suitable When
The seller arranges ocean freight to port while the buyer manages import and onward delivery.
Sea or inland waterway only. The precise destination port and insurance requirements should be written into the sale contract.
Delivered Duty Paid
-
Delivery & Risk
Transfers at the named destination when the import-cleared goods are ready for unloading.
-
Main Transport
Arranged to the named destination place under the confirmed route.
-
Import Clearance & Duties
Seller is responsible for import formalities, duties and applicable taxes.
-
Suitable When
A feasible destination route allows a more complete seller-arranged delivery scope.
Subject to destination feasibility. Local rules may prevent or complicate seller-side import clearance, so availability must be confirmed before quotation.
Contract Detail Matters
Always state the exact named port or place and the applicable Incoterms® 2020 rule in the sale contract. Lemot coordinates logistics within the confirmed project scope; the Incoterms® rule allocates obligations between the contractual buyer and seller.
Know What You Are Paying Before Shipment Is Booked.
Logistics charges are separated from the supplier’s product price and presented by cost category, making it easier to compare options and identify which charges are confirmed, variable or outside the selected scope.
Origin Services
Factory pickup, consolidation, loading, export handling, documentation and origin terminal charges.
Main Carriage
Ocean, air, rail or road freight, carrier surcharges and the confirmed transport route.
Cargo Insurance
Insurance premium and stated cover where insurance is included in the selected scope.
Destination Services
Destination terminal, customs-service, local transport, appointment and final-delivery charges where applicable.
Duties & Taxes
Import duty, VAT, GST or other government charges where included or estimated under the selected delivery term.
Final charges may change because of actual weight or volume, carrier rate changes, fuel or peak surcharges, customs inspection, reclassification, storage, demurrage, detention, address restrictions or delivery-site conditions.
One Coordinated Route From Cargo Readiness to Delivery Handover.
Lemot coordinates the parties, documents and handovers within the selected delivery term. Each stage is checked against the confirmed cargo information, route and quotation before the shipment moves forward.
Confirm Cargo Details
Products, cartons, dimensions, weight, readiness date and destination.
Compare Route & Term
Available transport options, responsibility boundary and expected timing.
Approve Quote & Booking
Selected option, itemised charges, assumptions and booking instruction.
Client ApprovalCoordinate Origin Handover
Pickup, consolidation, export documents, loading and carrier handover.
Track Main Transport
Departure, available carrier status, key documents and known exceptions.
Complete Destination Handover
Import and destination coordination to the boundary of the selected term.
Delivery ConfirmationScope Boundary
The coordination endpoint follows the named port or place and the confirmed FOB, CIF or DDP scope. Services beyond that boundary require separate confirmation.
Shipment Visibility
Updates That Help You Act Before a Logistics Issue Grows.
Lemot consolidates the available carrier, document and handover updates into one project record, so known changes can be reviewed against their likely impact before the next decision is made.
Milestone Record
What remains visible during coordination
Available status and documents
Booking Confirmed
Selected route, carrier or forwarder, planned dates and the confirmed quotation basis.
Cargo Handed Over
Pickup or warehouse handover, cargo details, loading information and available export documents.
Departed & In Transit
Available departure status, transport documents, revised schedules and known transit exceptions.
Arrival & Handover
Arrival information and destination coordination up to the boundary defined by the selected delivery term.
Visibility Scope
Shipment visibility refers to documented milestone updates, not continuous GPS tracking. Update frequency and detail depend on the carrier, forwarder, route and information available within the confirmed service scope.
Questions Before We Coordinate Your Shipment.
These answers clarify delivery terms, quotations, shipment updates, customs responsibilities and the boundary between Lemot’s coordination role and third-party transport services.
01 Which Delivery Terms Can Lemot Coordinate?
Lemot commonly coordinates shipments under FOB, CIF or DDP terms. The suitable option depends on the route, destination, cargo, customs feasibility and the responsibilities you want each party to carry. The named port or place must be confirmed for every quotation.
02 Is Lemot the Freight Forwarder or Carrier?
No. Lemot coordinates information, quotations, documents and handovers with selected third-party logistics providers. The carrier, forwarder, customs broker, warehouse or delivery provider remains responsible for the transport service it performs under its own terms.
03 What Information Is Needed Before a Logistics Quote?
We normally need the product and cargo type, carton or pallet count, dimensions, gross weight, readiness date, origin, destination, requested delivery term and any special handling requirements. Incomplete or estimated cargo data can change the final cost.
04 Are Logistics Quotations Fixed?
Quotations are based on the confirmed information and usually have a stated validity period. Carrier rates, fuel adjustments, actual cargo measurements, customs decisions, storage, detention, demurrage and destination conditions may create changes or pass-through charges outside the original estimate.
05 What Shipment Updates Will We Receive?
Updates are organised around available milestones such as booking, cargo handover, departure, revised schedules, arrival and destination handover. This is documented milestone visibility rather than continuous GPS tracking, and the detail depends on the carrier and route.
06 Who Handles Customs, Duties and Taxes?
Responsibility follows the selected delivery term and confirmed service scope. Under DDP, import clearance, duties and taxes may be included only when the destination and product are operationally feasible and the responsible parties have accepted the arrangement. This must be confirmed before booking.
07 What Happens if a Shipment Is Delayed or Additional Charges Arise?
Lemot seeks the available facts, supporting records, likely timing and cost impact from the relevant party, then presents the available response for your decision. We coordinate the approved action, but cannot guarantee carrier schedules or absorb third-party charges that fall outside the confirmed quotation.
08 Can Goods From Multiple Suppliers Be Consolidated?
Potentially, yes. Consolidation depends on cargo compatibility, supplier readiness, documentation, location, warehouse handling and the cost benefit of the proposed route. The consolidation plan and any additional handling charges must be approved before execution.
